Age-Friendly Action Plan

The City of Oceanside joined the AARP Age-Friendly Network on April 7, 2024. The City is working with the Center for Excellence in Aging & Longevity at the San Diego State University Social Policy Institute to develop a 5-year action plan. The City hosted several listening and action planning sessions  to gather community input about needs and priorities that would make Oceanside more livable.  This 5-year action plan was developed based on information gathered during the public outreach.

April Pools Day

Join us for April Pool’s Day, a FREE water safety event hosted by City of Oceanside lifeguards. Come sample swim lessons, learn safety tips for backyard pools, and watch real lifeguards demonstrate lifesaving skills. There will be opportunities to learn basic CPR taught by the City of Oceanside emergency responders, so you are prepared for any situation. In addition to water safety education, we will have recreation swim, raffles, and sweet treats! Join us for a day of water safety and drowning prevention lessons!
