Age-Friendly Action Plan

The City of Oceanside joined the AARP Age-Friendly Network on April 7, 2024. The City is working with the Center for Excellence in Aging & Longevity at the San Diego State University Social Policy Institute to develop a 5-year action plan. The City hosted several listening and action planning sessions  to gather community input about needs and priorities that would make Oceanside more livable.  This 5-year action plan was developed based on information gathered during the public outreach.

Concert in the Park (OCAF)

The Oceanside Cultural Arts foundation (OCAF), in partnership with Oceanside Public Library & Cultural Arts Department and Oceanside Parks and Recreation Department, will be presenting eight free concerts in the Oceanside Levitt BLOC Music Series this spring and fall.

The Levitt Foundation is a private family foundation that exists to strengthen the social fabric of America. The Foundation supports change makers and nonprofits across the country to activate underused public spaces through free outdoor concerts, creating welcoming, joyful, and inclusive destinations where the power of free, live music brings people together, fosters belonging and social connections, creates economic opportunity, and invigorates community life. The Levitt foundation is providing up to $120,000 for the next three years to support free concerts in Oceanside.

This concert will be featuring the Monette Marino Band and the Gaby Aparicio Trio.

Concerts are Saturdays from 3:30 to 6:30 PM. There will be free activities for children during the concerts.

More information about the bands is available at www.oceansidemusicseries.com.
